Dr. Fendi Setyawan, S.H., M.H., UNEJ Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni, and Drs. Andang Subaharianto, M.Hum., UNEJ Senate Chair, visited the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) for the 2025 PKKMB (August 12th). Greeted by the Vice Deans of FMIPA, the Vice Rector III and Senate Chair took the opportunity to tour the PKKMB. “Take care of your health, stay fit until Saturday, when PKKMB closes. Drink plenty of water, and keep refilling your water bottles,” said the Vice Rector III to the Chemistry Class C participants. Each class was visited while inspecting the supporting facilities at FMIPA, including observing the snacks provided by the PKKMB participants.
Together with the UNEJ Student Affairs team, the Vice Rector III and Senate Chair also interacted with the 2025 PKKMB participants. For example, in Class D Biology, the Vice Rector III inquired about the facilities and infrastructure provided by FMIPA. “How comfortable is the class? Can we follow the material well? What are the activities after PKKMB?” he asked. The class was comfortable with adequate air conditioning, clear material, and a good projector. “After the event, we will prepare a collaboration for the PKKMB closing ceremony with FASILKOM,” replied a PKKMB participant. The visit also included visits to several faculties at UNEJ, accompanied by a team from the Student Affairs Division of the University of Jember.
That afternoon, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) also received a monitoring and evaluation visit from the UNEJ Quality Assurance and Learning Development Institute (LPMPP). They were received by the Deputy Dean III of FMIPA UNEJ, Prof. Dr. Edy Supriyanto, S.Si., M.Si., accompanied by the Head of General Affairs, Muhayat Zamroni, S.S. The LPMPP team consisted of Ns. This year’s FMIPA PPKMB was attended by 405 participants: 101 participants from Class A in the Mathematics Building, 102 from Class B in the Physics Building, 102 from Class C in the Chemistry Building, and 100 from Class D in the Biology Building. The program will run from August 11-18, 2025, and will conclude next Saturday. Students will receive a variety of materials prepared by the University of Jember, with speakers from FMIPA lecturers who have previously participated in the Training of the Trainer (ToT). The PKKMB is expected to prepare new students for their studies at FMIPA UNEJ.
