Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science, officially opened the 27th anniversary celebrations of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the FMIPA parking lot (3/10). The celebrations began with the SPORA CUP 2025 SPECTRA. In his opening remarks, the Dean emphasized the importance of a healthy lifestyle through exercise. “Maintaining good health to support your work or study routines is crucial, and regular exercise is key,” he emphasized. A healthy mind fosters creativity, fosters innovation, and fosters achievement. This aligns with the FMIPA UNEJ slogan: “Create, Innovate, and Achieve.” He stated that the FMIPA anniversary celebrations also serve to welcome the 61st anniversary of the University of Jember in 2025.
“We will also continue the agenda of UNEJ’s 61st anniversary. Let’s celebrate it with various competitions in the 2025 SPORA CUP,” said Prof. Dafik. Dafik. At the end of his remarks, the Dean urged the competition to maintain sportsmanship and uphold unity and togetherness. Accompanied by the Vice Dean III of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Prof. Edy Supriyanto, S.Si., M.Si., the Dean cut the ribbon to officially open the series of events commemorating the 27th anniversary of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (UNEJ). The SPORA CUP will feature basketball, badminton, futsal, volleyball, singing, and e-sports. Student delegations from each department will participate, and the participation of FMIPA staff and lecturers in the volleyball and futsal competitions will also be enlivened. Yesterday afternoon, following the opening, a volleyball match will be held, pitting the staff and lecturers against HIMATIKA.
Contacted separately, the Deputy Dean III of FMIPA UNEJ said that the series of FMIPA’s 27th anniversary had been implemented, with The 2nd International Conference on Mathematics, Geometry, Statistics and Computation (IC-MaGeStiC) 2025 on September 11, 2025 as the opening. “The IC-MaGeStiC 2025 Mathematics Department has opened the series of FMIPA’s 27th anniversary, followed by other scientific activities as well as competitions from UKM SPORA,” he said. Continued by The 6th International Conference on Life Sciences and Biotechnology (ICOLIB) 2025 on October 17-18, 2025 tomorrow. This will be followed by the 37th International Conference of the Jangjeon Mathematical Society (ICJMS) 2025 on October 21-22, 2025.
Student activities in the FMIPA anniversary series will open with the SPORA CUP 2025 SPECTRA, followed by WIRAKARYA 2025 “From Zero to Hero: Becoming a Resilient Entrepreneur in the Digital Era” on October 18, 2025. The National Seminar will conclude with “CampusGov & Career Empowerment: Strengthening Student Representative Bodies with Soft Skills and Career Insight Training” on November 1, 2025. Prof. Edy invites all members of the FMIPA UNEJ academic community to participate in this series of FMIPA and UNEJ anniversary celebrations in 2025. “Let’s support and celebrate the 27th anniversary of FMIPA to welcome the 61st anniversary of Jember University in 2025,” he concluded.
