The new academic year will soon arrive, and there are 3 entrance routes to University of Jember: Seleksi Nasional Berbasis Prestasi (SNBP), Seleksi Nasional Berbasis Tes (SNBT), and Seleksi Mandiri Mahasiswa Baru (SEMMABA UNEJ). Next, the question arises: Where will you choose to study? What study program will you choose? What faculty will you choose? Of course, there are many considerations to make sure prospective students make the right choice. It could be that the choice falls on the study program at FMIPA-UNEJ. However, if you are still a little unsure about choosing, we will reintroduce FMIPA UNEJ. The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Jember University has four undergraduate study programs, namely mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology.

This is where the source of all knowledge is, if there is a term not the first choice?? Maybe it needs to be explained, that everyday life is discussed at FMIPA UNEJ, one of which is the field of Biology. Still have any doubts? Mathematics? All calculations, both basic and complex, start from here. What about Physics and Chemistry? When you hear it, you definitely imagine a collection of formulas or theories, but if you put it into practice directly, that’s where the fun and challenges will emerge. It’s time to note and remember that the undergraduate study program at FMIPA University of Jember has become a college target.

FMIPA UNEJ has a number of very adequate facilities, 5 lecture buildings, 4 laboratory buildings, greenhouse, animal care unit, student meeting point, internet and WiFi in every classroom, sports field, UKM building, mosque and canteen. In terms of human resources, FMIPA UNEJ has 82 lecturers, with 7 professors and 38 educational staff to serve 1533 active students. This academic year, each study program will have the capacity to accommodate 120 students, with details of 30 SNBT, 75 SNBT and 15 from SEMMABA.

The next question is what jobs can be achieved after graduating from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UNEJ? Graduates are spread across several fields of work, from educators, offices, companies, banking, to self-employment. And alumni sharing is regularly held to share stories and experiences of alumni with FMIPA students. For those who are interested in continuing their studies, currently there are 4 master’s study programs at FMIPA UNEJ, namely Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.

Studying at FMIPA can be said to be time-consuming? There are no other activities apart from sitting in lectures or wearing a coat in the laboratory? Not really, there are student organizations at FMIPA UNEJ, from BEM to Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa (UKM) that are ready to accommodate talents and interests. Guest lectures are regularly held by inviting speakers from within and outside the country. Student exchange within the MBKM forum is also a matter of prestige, overseas destinations include Germany, Malaysia and several other countries. Even with internships, many companies have collaborated with FMIPA. So, I am even more confident in saying that I have chosen to study at FMIPA UNEJ.
