FMIPA UNEJ Team Enlivens TAJEMTRA 2024: Introducing FMIPA to Berkreasi dan Berinovasi

TAJEMTRA 2024 was held again, a traditional event routinely held by the Jember Regency Government every year, becoming a routine agenda item of the FMIPA UNEJ team participating in TAJEMTRA. Consisting of FMIPA education staff, the team took part in a 30-kilometer walking activity from Tanggul to Jember on August 31 yesterday. This year, by unfurling a banner that read FMIPA UNEJ Berkreasi dan Berinovasi, they wanted to introduce FMIPA UNEJ to the outside community. “In addition to exercising, the FMIPA team has a vision to reintroduce FMIPA UNEJ to the Jember community, a warehouse of young scientist candidates,” said one of the participants.

The challenging 30-kilometer route did not dampen the enthusiasm of the participants. Starting from Tanggul and finishing at Alun-Alun Jember, the FMIPA UNEJ team passed through various beautiful rural scenery. Along the route, local residents were also enthusiastic about providing support by providing drinking water and cheering. “Not only FMIPA, there are several teams from faculties at UNEJ who also routinely take part in TAJEMTRA; we have met several times, and we are very happy to be able to participate again,” he continued. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., supported the team’s participation by advising them to participate in an orderly manner and enliven TAJEMTRA 2024 with the FMIPA Berkeasi dan Berinovasi cheer. Continue reading

PKKMB Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember 2024: “FMIPA UNEJ Berkreasi Berinovasi”

Dean of FMIPA UNEJ Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., invited new students to shout the jargon at the beginning of the inauguration speech of new students of FMIPA UNEJ. (19/8) “Fakultas MIPA Universitas Jember Berkreasi Berinovasi !!!,” said the Dean of FMIPA, followed by all participants of the ceremony. It was said that the jargon was also a prayer so that in the end all new students could become a generation that has creativity and innovation. “With that provision, FMIPA students who have flexibility will be accepted in various fields of work, becoming scientists, becoming programmers, and also becoming teachers or lecturers; that is very possible,” he continued. The Dean also invited new students to start implementing the jargon of FMIPA graduates achieving 3.5 to the power of 4.

He explained that the first 3.5 is as much as possible 3.5 years for FMIPA students to be able to take their thesis exams; the second is as much as possible to get a GPA of 3.5 to compete with competitors in the world of work. “The next 3.5 is the 3.5 month waiting period for FMIPA graduates to get a job and the last 3.5 million is the first salary that FMIPA graduates get,” hoped the Dean who was accompanied by the Vice Deans, Head of Department Secretaries, Study Program Coordinators, Heads of Laboratories and Head of General Affairs of FMIPA as well as the Vice Coordinators. Prof. Dafik touched on artificial intelligence (AI), which is now definitely on the minds of new students who are in fact Gen-Z students.
