Ahmad Haris Rasidi, FMIPA Physics Student Passes Selection to Participate in BRIN Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System Workshop

The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) held a workshop on the use of the Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System, or EPICS, program at the Ahmad Baiquni Building, Babarsari, Yogyakarta, from June 10 to 14, 2024. The theme of the workshop was “Development of EPICS-Based Instrumentation and Control Systems in Accelerator Research Facilities.” The material was delivered by Dr. Keerati Manasatitpong and Mr. Natthawut Suradet from the Thai Research Institute (SLRI), or Synchrotron Light Research Institute. BRIN is collaborating with the Asia Pacific Center for Theoretical Physics (APCTP) to organize the workshop.

To take part in the workshop, participants from universities in the country are given the opportunity to take part in the selection stage after registering. After being declared successful, Ahmad Haris Rasidi, a student from the Physics Department at FMIPA UNEJ, received an invitation to the EPICS workshop along with accommodation which was fully borne by BRIN. “I will take advantage of this golden opportunity to learn more about the EPICS program in industrial control systems,” he said. Haris hopes that there will be a lot of new knowledge that can be brought back to Jember after attending the workshop, of course valuable experience during the five days of training. FMIPA UNEJ and PRLTB BRIN Establish Collaboration in the Field of Environment and Clean Technology

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember with the Center for Environmental Research and Clean Technology of the National Research and Innovation Agency (PRLTB-BRIN) signed the cooperation agreement offline and online (1/2). PRLTB-BRIN moderated by Dr. Hanies Ambarsari, BSc., M. ApplSc. located in the PRLTB Meeting Room, Geostech 820 Building, South Tangerang. And FMIPA UNEJ was led directly by the Dean of FMIPA Drs. Achmad Sjaifullah, M.Sc., Ph.D. in the Meeting Room of the FMIPA UNEJ Dean Building. The signing event was a follow-up to the meeting of the two parties some time ago which discussed preparations for cooperation.

In his remarks the Head of PRLTB BRIN Dr. Sasa Sofyan Munawwar, S.Hut., M.P. said that research and innovation collaboration activities were summarized in Research and Innovation in the Fields of Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Environment and Clean Technology. “We PRLTB BRIN really appreciate the achievement of cooperation with FMIPA UNEJ in the field of Environment and Clean Technology to establish collaborative research and development of science and technology,” he said. FMIPA UNEJ and PRLTB BRIN Ready to Collaborate in the Field of Environment and Clean Technology

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember held discussions on collaboration with the Center for Environmental Research and Clean Technology of the National Research and Innovation Agency (PRLTB-BRIN) online (16/1). FMIPA UNEJ led by the Dean Drs. Achmad Sjaifullah, M.Sc., Ph.D. accompanied by vice deans and lecturer representatives involved in the collaboration. From PRLTB BRIN, the Research Team Coordinator Dr. Hanies Ambarsari, BSc., M. ApplSc. along with staff and the BRIN Legal and Cooperation Bureau Team.

One of the aims of the collaboration is to increase scientific insight and experience for students in various scientific activities. “In the field of service research, through this collaboration collaborative research and development of science and technology can be produced which focuses on solving various problems, especially in the fields of MIPA, Environment and Clean Technology,” said the Dean of FMIPA. Head of PRTDRAN BRIN Invites FMIPA UNEJ Lecturers to Collaborate on Nuclear Energy Research

Head of Pusat Riset Teknologi Deteksi Radiasi dan Analisis Nuklir (PRTDRAN) BRIN, Dr. Abu Khalid Rivai, M.Eng. give a guest lecture at the Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (19/10). Abu Khalid invited lecturers to collaborate on research through BRIN as a bridge. “In BRIN there is ORTN, namely Organisasi Riset Tenaga Nuklir to optimize research in all regions in Indonesia,” he said.

Abu Khalid explained, ORTN itself is divided into 12 organizations in Indonesia, one example being Radiation Process Technology. Everything was revealed in the Guest Lecture of Physics Department, FMIPA UNEJ with the theme Research Prospects and research work at PRTDRAN and National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN)..
