Chancellor of University of Jember Inaugurates Vice Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences for the 2024-2028 Period

The Chancellor of University of Jember, Iwan Taruna, officially inaugurated the ranks of the Vice Deans of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Jember University for the period 2024-2028 (12/8). The Vice Deans of FMIPA were inaugurated together with the Vice Deans of the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Public Health, and the Coordinator of the UNEJ Vocational Campus. Taking place in the Hall on the 3rd Floor of the Rectorate Building, Iwan Taruna inaugurated Dra. Hari Sulistiyowati, M.Sc., Ph.D., as Vice Dean I for Academic Affairs, Dr. Esti Utarti, S.P., M.Si., as Vice Dean II for General Affairs and Finance, and Dr. Edy Supriyanto, S.Si., M.Si., as Vice Dean III for Student Affairs and Alumni. Present at the inauguration were the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., accompanied by the Head of General Affairs of FMIPA Muhayat Zamroni, S.S., and the former Vice Dean II of FMIPA Purwatiningsih, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D.

The Chancellor of University of Jember said in his speech that the inaugurated officials must adapt to carry out the mandate that the institution has given, considering that UNEJ is currently in the process of becoming a Perguruan Tinggi Negeri Berbadan Hukum (PTN-BH). Present at the inauguration, the leaders of University of Jember witnessed the vice deans being sworn in by the Chancellor. The Vice Deans will also immediately prepare to welcome new students through the Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus bagi Mahsasiswa Baru (PKKMB) in 2024 and lectures for odd semester students in the 2024/2025 academic year. Good luck, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D. Dean of FMIPA, University of Jember for the 2024-2028 Period

Rector of Jember University, Dr. Ir. Iwan Taruna, M.Eng., IPM, officially inaugurated Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., as Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, for the period 2024–2028 (8/3). On the same occasion, the Rector also inaugurated the Vice Rector III of the University of Jember, the Dean of FKM and FT UNEJ, the Secretary of the Institution, and the Head of the Unit Penunjang Akademik (UPA) at the University of Jember. Prof. Dafik continued the leadership baton of FMIPA UNEJ for the previous period, which was held by Drs. Achmad Sjaifullah, M.Sc., Ph.D. Present in the UNEJ Rectorate Hall, 3rd floor, were the Chairman of the Senate, the Vice Rectors, Heads of Bureaus, Heads of Institutions, and Deans of the UNEJ environment. Also, the Deputy Deans and Heads of General Affairs of the faculty were appointed.

Prof. Dafik is a mathematics lecturer who completed his education at FKIP UNEJ in 1992. Then he continued his studies at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), U.K., England, in 1998. Meanwhile, his doctoral degree was obtained from the School of Information and Technology and Mathematical Science (ITMS) at the University of Ballarat, Australia, in 2007. And was awarded the title of professor in 2013. He served as Dean of FKIP UNEJ in the 2016–2020 period and Chair of the Research Group Combinatorics, Graph Theory, and Network Topology (CGANT) from 2018–present. Continue reading

The Dean Inaugurated the Management of ORMAWA FMIPA University of Jember for Term of Service in 2023

“Thank you to all the 2022 ORMAWA management who have carried out their duties well, and for the new 2023 administrators to prepare themselves to provide the best for FMIPA,” the opening remarks of Dean of FMIPA UNEJ Drs. Achmad Sjaifullah, M.Sc., Ph.D. in the inauguration of the Management of ORMAWA FMIPA University of Jember for the 2023 service period (16/1) in Lecture Room 1 of the Chemistry Department, FMIPA.

Furthermore, the Dean hopes that in the future the student affairs agenda can be carried out properly through careful planning and guidance from the supervisor. Present at the inauguration of FMIPA leadership, ORMAWA supervisors and new and old ORMAWA FMIPA UNEJ administrators. The Dean also asked the new management to communicate with their predecessors to improve performance and achievements. “Communicate with the old management, as we know the previous BEM management was able to make it to the finals of the 2022 ORMAWA Community Service Program, ask for tricks to achieve that or more,” he said. Inauguration of Student Organizations FMIPA University of Jember for period 2022

“This year’s inauguration will be able to meet directly with ORMAWA management while still implementing health protocols, unlike the previous year online,” the opening remarks of the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, Drs. Achmad Sjaifullah, M.Sc., Ph.D. in Inauguration of Student Organizations FMIPA University of Jember for 2022 term (31/1). Furthermore, Dean hopes that in the future the student agenda can take place face-to-face to support academic achievement and increase personal efficiency of the administrators so that they are beneficial to the community. The inauguration was held on the roof top of building I Mathematics Department, FMIPA in a hybrid and was attended by FMIPA leaders, ORMAWA manager with new and old manager of ORMAWA FMIPA UNEJ. Dean also hopes that the new management can communicate with their predecessors to further improve their performance and achievements. “Communicate with the previous management who are definitely more experienced and also convey to the supervisor for the programs that will be carried out,” he said. The role of students was also mentioned by Dean of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, in achieving accreditation of a study program the role of students is very important. “For example, the role of students in participating in PKM, the more students who participate, let alone reach the national level, the accreditation of study programs will be helped to achieve A,” he hoped. At the end of the speech, the Dean also invited the ORMAWA management to work together to advance FMIPA by expressing their opinions and suggestions. “Speak your opinion, don’t wait for the Open Talk. We will try to facilitate the progress of FMIPA in the future,” he concluded. Continue reading
