The Inauguration Ceremony Closes the 2025 PPMB Activities of the FMIPA UNEJ

Prof. Dr. Edy Supriyanto, S.Si., M.Si., Vice Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at the University of Jember, officially closed the Pembinaan dan Pengembangan Mahasiswa Baru (PPMB) 2025 activities at the FMIPA level on September 6th. The series of events, including PKM, ONMIPA, PPK ORMAWA, PKM guidance, UKM expo at FMIPA, have concluded. “For the past two weeks, PPMB has been held every Saturday to broaden new students’ knowledge and organizational knowledge,” stated the Vice Dean III of FMIPA. He stated that PPMB will be a stepping stone for students to achieve high academic and non-academic achievements. Prof. Edy hopes that new students will excel at the national and even international levels, like one of the physics students who will participate in a prestigious international competition in Russia.

FMIPA students have won several regional and national competitions through PKM, ONMIPA, PPK, and UKM. “Your seniors have demonstrated national achievements with the PPMB material. It’s time for new students, and we are ready to support them,” he hoped. The Vice Dean III of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences also mentioned the Dean’s message to ensure FMIPA graduates achieve a 3.5 to the power of 4. FMIPA students complete their studies in 3.5 years, earn a 3.5 GPA, have a 3.5-month waiting period, and receive a first salary of 3.5 million rupiah. Vice Dean III FMIPA UNEJ Opens and Appoints New Students in PPMB FMIPA UNEJ Year 2025

Located in the parking lot of FMIPA UNEJ, Prof. Dr. Edy Supriyanto, S.Si., M.Si. officially opened the implementation of the Pembinaan dan Pengembangan Mahasiswa Baru (PPMB) FMIPA University of Jember in 2025 (30/8). “Welcome to FMIPA, being a student is not just to study but to have big dreams, dare to change the future,” he began. Wadek III FMIPA UNEJ said students are not just taught knowledge alone, but build character, train leadership, and grow the courage to dream sky-high. “You are born in an era full of challenges, then those who are passionate, have vision and work hard will stand at the front facing the world,” he messaged.

Wadek III also said from today make FMIPA UNEJ a place to carve the history of life, dream as high as the sky, work to the maximum, create as much as possible. “The future is on your shoulders, the hope of parents, society and the Indonesian nation, by being the golden generation to change the nation for the better,” he hoped. The welcome closed with the yel-yel FMIPA UNEJ “Create, Innovate, Achieve”. Present in the opening ceremony, Vice Dean II, Head of Department and supervising lecturers who will accompany PPMB FMIPA 2025. Dean of FMIPA Officially Inaugurates ORMAWA FMIPA Jember University in 2025

The Dean of the FMIPA Faculty at UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., officially swore in the new leadership of the ORMAWA (Student Organizations) at FMIPA UNEJ for the 2025 term on January 20, 2025, in the FMIPA Physics Department Auditorium. In his speech, the Dean encouraged the new leaders to continue the programs from the previous leadership. “To the new leaders, continue the work of the outgoing leaders, keep developing for the progress of the organization, and help achieve recognition for FMIPA,” said the Dean. He emphasized that the goal of the FMIPA recognition program is to promote the faculty’s name, and hopes ORMAWA will be actively involved in it.

Prof. Dafik also agreed with the theme of the inauguration, which is “ORMAWA Synergy to Create a Creative, Innovative, and Accomplished FMIPA UNEJ.” He shared that this slogan was first introduced when he started his leadership, along with a motto for students: “Three point five to the power of four.” This slogan will guide the progress of FMIPA, especially for students, and the ORMAWA leaders are expected to play a key role. “The ORMAWA leaders must lead by example, inspire in the middle, and provide support from behind so that we can all work together with FMIPA,” he concluded. Vice Dean III of the Faculty of MIPA, University of Jember Officially Closes the PPMB FMIPA Activities for the 2024/2025 Academic Year

Dr. Edy Supriyanto, S.Si., M.Si., Vice Dean of FMIPA UNEJ for Student Affairs and Alumni, officially closed the Pembinaan dan Pengembangan Mahasiswa Baru (PPMB) FMIPA 2024 activities (5/10). A series of events providing material on PKM, ONMIPA material, PPK ORMAWA achievement material, PKM guidance material, and UKM expo at FMIPA have been carried out. “For the past three weeks, every Saturday PPMB has been carried out to increase knowledge and organizational insight for new students,” said Vice Dean III of FMIPA. It was said that PPMB would be the beginning for students to achieve high achievements in academic and non-academic fields.

Many national-level competitions have been won by FMIPA students at the national level through PKM, ONMIPA, PPK ORMAWA, and UKM. “Your seniors have been able to show national achievements with the provision of PPMB material; in the future it is time for new students, and we are ready to accompany them,” he hoped. Deputy Dean III of FMIPA also mentioned the Dean’s message to be able to realize FMIPA student graduates achieving 3.5 to the power of 4. Dean of FMIPA UNEJ Opens and Inaugurates New Students at PPMB FMIPA Jember University in 2024

Located in the parking lot of FMIPA UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., officially opened the implementation of the 2024 New Student Guidance and Development (PPMB) of FMIPA Universitas Jember (21/9). “With PPMB, FMIPA students will be equipped with academic and non-academic skills by the supervising lecturers and student organizations in FMIPA,” he began. The Dean of FMIPA UNEJ hopes that PPMB will make FMIPA students who can take part in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of Indonesia. “I hope that the provision of PPMB 2024 will make students play a role in the SDGs initiated by the Indonesian government when they graduate from FMIPA UNEJ,” he said.

Prof. Dafik also reminded FMIPA of its desire to make its graduates achieve 3.5 to the power of 4. The first is that as much as possible 3.5 years of FMIPA students can take their thesis exams; the second is as much as possible to get a GPA of 3.5 to compete with competitors in the world of work. “The next 3.5 is the 3.5-month waiting period for FMIPA graduates to get a job, and the last 3.5 million is the first salary that FMIPA graduates get,” hoped the Dean. Inauguration of Solar Cell and Windmill Based Coffee Drying House in Pace Village, Silo, Jember

On Friday, August 23, 2024, the PPK Ormawa Himafi FMIPA Team of Jember University inaugurated a solar cell and windmill-based coffee dryer house in Pace Village, Silo District, Jember Regency. Several officials of Jember University were present. Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Alumni of University of Jember, Dean along with Vice Dean I and Vice Dean III of FMIPA UNEJ, Head of the Physics Department of FMIPA, Supervising Lecturers, and Coordinator of the Student Affairs and Alumni Working Group of UNEJ. Meanwhile, regional officials were present: Silo Sub-district Head, Pace Village Head, Babinsa and Bhabinkamtibmas, Head of Pace BUMDES, Farmers Group Association, Head of LMDH, Hamlet Head, Pace Village apparatus. Several KKN Collaboration students, and of course the entire PPK Ormawa UNEJ Team

It began with a speech by the Supervising Lecturer of the PPK Ormawa HIMAFI Team, Nindha Ayu Berlianti, S.Pd., S.Si., M.Si, who reported on the implementation from the beginning of the program to the inauguration of the coffee drying house. This program is part of community service that not only focuses on increasing coffee productivity, but also on environmental sustainability. “We hope that this innovation can be a model for other regions in Indonesia that have the potential for coffee development, and can help farmers improve the quality of their harvest at a more efficient and environmentally friendly cost,” she said.
