Natasya Emi Wijayati from Physics Achieves Highest GPA and Graduates Fastest at 103rd FMIPA UNEJ Graduation

FMIPA UNEJ held the 103rd Undergraduate Graduation (S1) of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, for the 3rd period of the 2024/2025 academic year (13/9). Taking place on the 3rd floor of the Entrepreneurship Building, the University of Jember was attended by 16 prospective graduates. In his graduation speech, the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., invited the graduates to immediately prepare themselves after graduation tomorrow. “After the euphoria of graduation tomorrow, immediately prepare to face the future with the knowledge gained during their studies at FMIPA, University of Jember,” he began. The Dean believes that with the knowledge from FMIPA lecturers, graduates will be able to solve problems in the real world. When in college it ends in a simulation, but when in society they must be able to provide problem solving in all fields.

“I have confidence that FMIPA graduates can optimize their college education if they encounter real problems in their future lives,” he continued. Prof. Dafik also said that there are many opportunities that FMIPA graduates can achieve when they enter society in various fields. Graduates are also expected to have competitiveness and fighting spirit so that FMIPA is increasingly heard inside and outside the UNEJ campus. In this graduation, Natasya Emi Wijayati from the Physics Department achieved the highest GPA of 3.85 and became the fastest graduate with a study period of 3 years, 8 months, and 28 days.

Next, the reading of the decree of the Dean of FMIPA regarding the 103rd Undergraduate (S1) Graduation of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, Period 3, Academic Year 2024/2025 by the Deputy Dean I of FMIPA, Dra. Hari Sulistiyowati, M.Sc., Ph.D. Continued with congratulations by the Dean, accompanied by the Deputy Deans and Heads of Departments to all graduates. This period there is a special award for the study program that produces the best graduates and was achieved by the Physics study program. Ten prospective graduates who achieved a GPA with honors were also announced during the graduation.

The motivational speech at the graduation was delivered by Moch. Rosyadi Adnan, S.Si., M.Si., an alumnus of the Biology Department, class of 2016. Rosyadi invited the graduates to immediately prepare themselves to face the world of work. “As conveyed by the Dean and as experienced when preparing after graduation, skills and competencies will be needed when entering the world of work,” he said. For example, when undergraduate graduates get the opportunity to take part in an internship abroad to enrich their competencies.

The Jember State Polytechnic lecturer also invited the graduates to make their bachelor’s degree a starting point. “I invite and encourage FMIPA graduates not to stop after getting this degree but to make it a starting point to achieve better success in their jobs or those who will continue their studies,” he concluded. The graduates will attend the graduation ceremony tomorrow at the Jember University Auditorium Building. Congratulations and success to the 103rd undergraduate graduates for period 3 of the 2024/2025 academic year.
