Natasya Emi Wijayati from Physics Achieves Highest GPA and Graduates Fastest at 103rd FMIPA UNEJ Graduation

FMIPA UNEJ held the 103rd Undergraduate Graduation (S1) of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, for the 3rd period of the 2024/2025 academic year (13/9). Taking place on the 3rd floor of the Entrepreneurship Building, the University of Jember was attended by 16 prospective graduates. In his graduation speech, the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., invited the graduates to immediately prepare themselves after graduation tomorrow. “After the euphoria of graduation tomorrow, immediately prepare to face the future with the knowledge gained during their studies at FMIPA, University of Jember,” he began. The Dean believes that with the knowledge from FMIPA lecturers, graduates will be able to solve problems in the real world. When in college it ends in a simulation, but when in society they must be able to provide problem solving in all fields.

“I have confidence that FMIPA graduates can optimize their college education if they encounter real problems in their future lives,” he continued. Prof. Dafik also said that there are many opportunities that FMIPA graduates can achieve when they enter society in various fields. Graduates are also expected to have competitiveness and fighting spirit so that FMIPA is increasingly heard inside and outside the UNEJ campus. In this graduation, Natasya Emi Wijayati from the Physics Department achieved the highest GPA of 3.85 and became the fastest graduate with a study period of 3 years, 8 months, and 28 days. 102nd Graduation Ceremony of FMIPA UNEJ Undergraduate Program Period 2 Academic Year 2024/2025

FMIPA UNEJ held the 102nd Undergraduate (S1) Graduation of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, Period 2, Academic Year 2024/2025 (28/8). Different from before, this period’s graduation was held at the Entrepreneurship Building, University of Jember. In his graduation speech, the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., invited the graduates to commemorate the moment of independence by continuing the struggle through the fields that they will pursue after graduation. “Make the momentum of independence an example to continue your ideals through various fields with a fighting spirit to change your fate,” he said. The Dean advised that with the weapons in your pocket now, you can be effective and accurate in producing a better life.

It is said that a graduate with KKNI level 6 is already sufficient provision to compete in the world job market. “The world of work, such as industry and teachers to those who will continue their studies, now is the time to hurry because to fill independence there is long-term education, namely lifelong learning,” he continued. The Dean, together with the Vice Dean and the Senate of FMIPA UNEJ, congratulated and succeeded the 48 judges as well as the educators who led the judges to achieve their bachelor’s degrees. “Create yourself as someone who is independent with the provision of KKNI level 6 from FMIPA and do not depend on others, especially parents,” he concluded. Dean of FMIPA UNEJ: We Will Realize the Big Goal of FMIPA UNEJ Graduates Achieving 3.5 Rank 4

FMIPA UNEJ held the 101st Undergraduate (S1) and 74th Postgraduate (S2) Judicial Conference at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, Period 1 of the 2024/2025 Academic Year (19/7). Prospective graduates attended an open meeting of the FMIPA senate in the public lecture room of the FMIPA Biology Department. Led and opened directly by the Dean of FMIPA Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D. the procession took place solemnly. In his graduation speech, the Dean congratulated the graduates. “On behalf of the institution, I would like to congratulate you on your graduation and achievements for at least 4 years in completing your studies at FMIPA UNEJ,” began the Dean of FMIPA. It was also said that the institution is proud because every year the number of graduates who arrive on time with an impressive achievement index continues to increase.

“At the start of this odd lecture, FMIPA will continue to improve to develop big desires and aspirations. I have a big goal of 3.5 to the power of 4 in mathematical terms,” he continued. Continuing, the first 3.5 is as much as possible for 3.5-year FMIPA students to take the thesis exam; the second is as much as possible to get a GPA of 3.5 to compete with competitors in the world of work. “The next 3.5 is the 3.5 month waiting period for FMIPA graduates to get a job, and the last 3.5 million is the first salary that FMIPA graduates get,” hoped the Dean, who was accompanied by the Vice Deans and the UNEJ FMIPA Senate at the senate session. 100th Undergraduate and 73rd Postgraduate Judiciary FMIPA UNEJ 10 Academic Year Period 2023/2024

FMIPA UNEJ held the 100th Undergraduate (S1) and 73rd Postgraduate (S2) Judicial Conference at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, for the 10 Academic Year Period 2023-2024 (16/5). 40 prospective female graduates attended the open meeting of the FMIPA senate in the public lecture room of the FMIPA Biology Department. Led and opened directly by the Dean of FMIPA, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., the procession took place solemnly. In his graduation speech, the dean congratulated the graduates. “On behalf of the institution, I would like to convey my congratulations on graduation and for the achievements of at least 4 years in completing studies at FMIPA UNEJ,” began the Dean of FMIPA. It is also said that the knowledge gained will be a provision for life in this world and the hereafter.

“As the Prophet said, if you want to be successful in this world and the hereafter then gain as much knowledge as possible, just like if you go to war the main weapon is knowledge,” he continued. It was also said that a bachelor’s degree is not the end of the story, it is actually a challenge to no longer burden parents. Prof. Dafik invited the graduates to become independent people without any more complaints from them. “So the competency standards provided to you are sufficient to be a provision for navigating the ark of life in the future,” said the Dean who was accompanied by the Vice Deans and the FMIPA UNEJ Senate at the senate session. 99th Judiciary of Bachelor of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Jember University Period 9 Academic Year 2023/2024

FMIPA UNEJ again held the 99th Judicial Session of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, Period 9 Academic Year 2023/2024 (25/4). 19 prospective graduates attended the open meeting of the FMIPA senate in the public lecture room of the FMIPA Biology Department. Led and opened directly by the Dean of FMIPA, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., the procession took place solemnly. In his judicial speech, the dean congratulated him and advised him to always remember the services of his parents. “Because of their services, now you are a graduate candidate, so make them happy; invite them to feel happy tomorrow when they graduate,” began the dean. It was also said that after graduation tomorrow, the graduates will enter the real-world community.

“That’s where persistence and toughness will be tested; if you still depend on your parents, then the education you have received so far has not been fully achieved,” he continued. So a transfer of skills is needed-a skill that can be transformed to face any challenge. Prof. Dafik said the key is not to complain easily and not to give up easily. “There is a lot that can be achieved; FMIPA alumni have flexibility because they have been equipped with basic sciences that can be adapted to various fields of work,” said the dean, who was accompanied by the Vice Deans at the senate meeting. Sindhi Wahidatul Ikrimah Biology Alumni Gives Motivation to Graduates at FMIPA UNEJ Alumni Sharing

Sindhi Wahidatul Ikrimah, S.Si., alumni of the 2017 FMIPA Biology Department, was present to provide motivation to FMIPA UNEJ graduates at the alumni sharing event (23/2). Sindhi shared her experience working at Tanobel Food as a quality control officer and also explained how she achieved this position. “The position I am currently in is different from when I was studying, but with will and perseverance, I can do it well, especially at FMIPA. I have the basics,” she said.

Sindhi said several companies, like the one where he works, are interested in fresh graduates. “Why fresh graduates? Because companies need people who are enthusiastic about working with high mobility, and that’s what fresh graduates do,” she said. Sindhi also proved to herself that, as a new graduate, she could compete and get a job. So there is no need to be discouraged if you are said to have just graduated from college, because many companies are interested, of course, with the criteria that must be met.
