FMIPA UNEJ held the 102nd Undergraduate (S1) Graduation of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, Period 2, Academic Year 2024/2025 (28/8). Different from before, this period’s graduation was held at the Entrepreneurship Building, University of Jember. In his graduation speech, the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ, Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D., invited the graduates to commemorate the moment of independence by continuing the struggle through the fields that they will pursue after graduation. “Make the momentum of independence an example to continue your ideals through various fields with a fighting spirit to change your fate,” he said. The Dean advised that with the weapons in your pocket now, you can be effective and accurate in producing a better life.
It is said that a graduate with KKNI level 6 is already sufficient provision to compete in the world job market. “The world of work, such as industry and teachers to those who will continue their studies, now is the time to hurry because to fill independence there is long-term education, namely lifelong learning,” he continued. The Dean, together with the Vice Dean and the Senate of FMIPA UNEJ, congratulated and succeeded the 48 judges as well as the educators who led the judges to achieve their bachelor’s degrees. “Create yourself as someone who is independent with the provision of KKNI level 6 from FMIPA and do not depend on others, especially parents,” he concluded.
Next, the reading of the decree of the Dean of FMIPA regarding the 102nd Undergraduate Graduation (S1) of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, Period 2, Academic Year 2024/2025 by the Deputy Dean I of FMIPA, Dra. Hari Sulistiyowati, M.Sc., Ph.D. Continued with congratulations by the Dean, accompanied by the Deputy Deans and Heads of Departments to all graduates. In this period of graduation, Arimbi Dirgantari Salsabila Persada Putri from the Biology Undergraduate Study Program achieved the highest GPA graduate grade of 3.90. Arimbi completed her studies in 3 years, 8 months, and 10 days. Meanwhile, the fastest graduate of the FMIPA undergraduate program was achieved by M. Gilang Romadhon from the Mathematics Undergraduate Study Program with a GPA of 3.63 and a study period of 3 years, 6 months, and 7 days.
The motivational oration at the graduation was delivered by Agustin Nurul Hidayah, S.Si. alumni of the Mathematics Department, class of 2016. Agustin invited the graduates to immediately prepare themselves to face the world of work. “After this graduation and tomorrow’s graduation, immediately prepare yourself to enter a new world, namely the world of work; take inventory of what we have while studying to be capital in competing for jobs,” she said. He gave an example of himself, who is a product of the Covid graduation, to immediately prepare himself with the provisions of studying at FMIPA.
It is said that studying at FMIPA is a fortune because the basis of all knowledge is in FMIPA, and Agustin himself is able to show it in his workplace. “I am an alumni of FMIPA mathematics who is able to compete in all fields to get jobs; let’s show the world that we FMIPA alumni can and are able to speak more than other alumni,” she invited. The graduates will attend the graduation at the end of August tomorrow at the Jember University Auditorium Building.
