Quoted from the official website of Ditjen Dikti Kemendikbudristek, Friday (22/10), students S1, S2 or S3 levels who have not registered for Program Talenta Inovasi Batch 2 do not need to worry. Because Dirjen Diktiristek extended the registration period until October 31, 2021 at 23:59. Program Talenta Inovasi 2021 is a funding program in the form of incentives given to students who are actively studying in Bachelor, Master or Doctoral programs. Both in the academic and applied fields in realizing independent innovation and creativity and appreciation for students’ creative innovative work that supports the development of science and technology that is beneficial to society. This program is a continuation of Program Penguatan Talenta Inovasi Indonesia Tahun 2020 which was previously managed by Kementerian Riset dan Teknologi/Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional (Kemristek/BRIN). Incentive funding for this program is to help finance the realization of innovation in order to increase the nation’s competitiveness, develop Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM), and accelerate the completion of the study period. And the output is a tangible form of the academic process produced by students in the context of Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) and is declared eligible based on the criteria set to receive funding support. Dr. Raden Bagus Fajriya Hakim: Making Sense of Data: The Automatic Statistician
“Automatic Statistician has been researched around 2016, and I want to share why I came to this direction,” said Dr. Raden Bagus Fajriya Hakim, S.Si., M.Sc. Lecturer of Department of Statistics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Islam Indonesia in a Guest Lecture with theme “Making Sense of Data: The Automatic Statistician“. The event was held online by Data Science Research Group, Department of Mathematics, FMIPA University of Jember (15/10). Hakim continued that time and process were needed. “First, we did collection, organization, analysis, interpretation and presentation of data that is manifested in a big data” he said that in this event moderated by Abduh Riski, S.Si, M.Si. a lecturer of tDepartment of Mathematics FMIPA UNEJ. Hakim also presented about problems in big data: Volume, Variety and Variety. In addition, there is a Veracity, accuracy and level of trust in data. “Among 5V which is a problem in big data, the fifth V is Value, most important thing because statisticians must be able to determine the price of a data,” he said, which in this agenda showed activities Department of Statistics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Islam Indonesia related to data science. Department of Chemistry, FMIPA, University of Jember held the 3rd International Conference on Chemistry and Material Science (IC2MS) 2021 by online (12-13/10). IC2MS is a biennial agenda of collaboration between Department of Chemistry, University of Jember, Brawijaya University and Universitas Negeri Malang. In 2021, Department of Chemistry, FMIPA UNEJ hosted with the theme “Innovation on Material Science for Sustainable Industrial Chemistry“. The 3rd IC2MS 2021 topics are Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry. At the Opening Ceremony, Dr. A.A.I. Computational And Experimental Research In Materials And Renewable Energy (CERiMRE) Journal, Department of Physics FMIPA UNEJ held Webinar Acceleration Towards Accredited Journal (7/10). Presenting three persons who are competent in their fields, Prof. Dr. Ade Gahfar Abdullah, M.Si. from Electrical Engineering, UPI, Khairul Anam, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. from Electrical Engineering, FT, UNEJ and Drs. Siswoyo, M.Sc., Ph.D. from Department of Chemistry, FMIPA UNEJ who is also Ketua Tim OJS University of Jember. First speaker, Prof. Ade delivered presentation entitled Kiat-kiat Mencapai Jurnal Internasional Terindex. “The important thing in managing international journals is that editors must have a high commitment in developing journals, full concentration and have good journal insights,” he said. Prof. Ade, who is also the manager of the Scopus indexed journal, Indonesian Journal of Science & Technology, said that it takes time and special dedication to develop a journal. “I used to ask Rektor to teach less because it would focus on developing the journal” he said. More, Prof. Ade said that comparative studies in international journals were also needed, he did with CRC Press, Antlatis Press and IOP Publishing. Previous Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) Keboan Jombang, this month FMIPA University of Jember visited SMA PGRI 1 Jombang. Professor of Integrated Optics and Optoelectronics who is also Dean of Faculty of Science ITS Surabaya, Dr. Dwa Desa Warnana, S.Si, M.Si. from ITS Surabaya and Febdian Rusydi, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D. from UNAIR Surabaya.
