Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember Graduation Ceremony for Periods 3 and 4 of the 2025/2026 Academic Year

FMIPA UNEJ held the 80th and 81st Postgraduate (S2) Graduation as well as the 112th and 113th Undergraduate Graduation of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Jember, Period 3 and 4 of the 2025/2026 Academic Year (16/10). Held in the newly renovated Physics Department Auditorium of FMIPA, University of Jember. In the graduation speech, the Dean of FMIPA UNEJ Prof. Drs. Dafik, M.Sc., Ph.D. conveyed congratulations and success in completing their studies at FMIPA, especially during their thesis or dissertation. “The graduates have been able to complete the difficult task by completing their thesis or dissertation with a strong spirit,” he said. This is the initial foundation for preparing to enter the real world, looking for job opportunities or further studies.

Prof. Dafik said that high enthusiasm is needed by holding four main keys to achieve success in the future. “Four keys are needed, namely Critical Thinking, Creativity Thinking, Collaboration, and Communication, if these are held by the judiciary, they will always be ready to enter the community,” he continued. It was also emphasized to continue exploring skills to achieve success in work or further studies, which will also make the institution proud. It will also certainly increase the interest of new students to study at FMIPA. The Dean of FMIPA led the open meeting of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences senate accompanied by the Vice Deans I, II, and III of FMIPA. Present were all members of the FMIPA senate, as well as invitees from representatives of the teaching and educational staff of FMIPA, University of Jember.

Next, the reading of the Dean’s decree of FMIPA regarding the 80th and 81st Postgraduate (S2) Graduation as well as the 112th and 113th Undergraduate of FMIPA, University of Jember, period 3 and 4 of the 2025/2026 Academic Year by the Deputy Dean I of FMIPA Prof. Dra. Hari Sulistiyowati, M.Sc., Ph.D. Followed by congratulations from the Deputy Deans and Heads of Departments to all graduates. In this period’s graduation, Faizal Rifky Fahreza, S.Si. from the Mathematics Masters Study Program achieved the highest GPA graduate title, namely 4.00 as well as the fastest graduate with a study period of 1 year 9 months 29 days. Meanwhile, the highest GPA graduate of the Undergraduate Program was achieved by Qoidah Anis Mahiroh from the Biology Bachelor’s Study Program with a GPA of 3.97 with a study period of 3 years 9 months 3 days. The fastest graduate was Perwita Puspasari from the Bachelor of Mathematics study program with a GPA of 3.53 and a study period of 3 years, 6 months, and 20 days.

The motivational speech at the graduation ceremony was delivered by Rizky Surya Wijaya, S.Si., an alumnus of the Bachelor of Biology study program, class of 2024. The Master of Biology student encouraged the graduates to not be complacent after graduation and to continue striving for opportunities. “After graduating last year, I continued to strive for opportunities to continue my studies, seeking information until I succeeded in pursuing a Master’s in Biology,” he said. Rizky shared his struggles, which ultimately led to his achievement in obtaining a superior scholarship from the Directorate General of Higher Education (DIKTI).

Rizky, a graduate of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), stated that he had been greatly strengthened during his studies and internships, and he was determined to seek opportunities. “As the Dean said, opportunities are always there, and chances are always there. Don’t be easily satisfied with what you’ve achieved. Aim for the highest to achieve success,” he concluded. The graduation ceremony concluded with a prayer, wishing all graduates success in the future. The graduates will attend a two-day graduation ceremony this coming weekend, Saturday and Sunday, at the University of Jember Auditorium.
